A forest glade in the Hardtwald north of Karlsruhe.
Raspberries enjoy the sun -- and I enjoyed the raspberries!
A pair of longhorn beetles, probably Monochamus sutor (Einfarbiger Langhornbock).
Mazarine blues, also in pairs (Rotklee-Bläulinge).
If you look closely, there’s a lot going on. Some creatures even enjoy the stinging-nettles.
The sun makes the spiderwebs glisten...
... and allows for remarkable photographs of their creators.
In one place. there were hundreds and hundreds of these small beetles -- to the observer’s delight, but much to the worse of their substrate, I should say!
I suspect many of the numerous two-legged animals rambling the forst that day were ignorant of many a beauty to be appreciated.
